Fast & Furious 11, also called Fast & Furious 11, is an action flick from 2023 directed by Louis Leterrier. The screenplay was penned by Dan Mazeau and Justin Lin, who teamed up with Zach Dean for the story. This movie follows F9 (2021) and is the tenth main film in the Fast & Furious series, making it the eleventh overall.
Vin Diesel stars as Dominic Toretto, joined by a cast that features Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, Jason Statham, Jason Momoa, and Charlize Theron. The plot centers on Toretto trying to keep his family safe from Dante Reyes (played by Momoa), who’s out for revenge due to his father’s death and the family’s lost wealth.
Plans for a tenth movie have been in the works since 2014, and there were talks of a two-part finale starting in October 2020. It was confirmed Lin would come back to direct with the main cast on board. The official title was announced when filming kicked off in April 2022. However, Lin stepped back from directing later that month due to creative differences but kept his writing and producing credits.
Leterrier was brought in as the new director just a week later and made some uncredited tweaks to the script. Brian Tyler returned to create the film’s score. With a production budget around $340 million, this movie is one of the most expensive ever made. Filming wrapped up in August and took place in various locations like London, Rome, Turin, other cities in Italy, Lisbon, and Los Angeles.
