The film is set in 2077, after the world was invaded by aliens, all humans were brought to the living clouds, only the warrior Jack Harper was left on Earth. He and his lover Victoria were ordered to work together to fight against ferocious monsters. Later, Jack accidentally saved the life of a girl named Julia in a broken spaceship, she helped him remember. his mysterious memories and explore them with him. Jack realizes that Julia is his real wife, and the truth is that Jack is being used by aliens to create thousands of copies like him to fight humanity.
Not only is it visually beautiful, Oblivion also carries a clear religious message: Life is a never-ending cycle of reincarnation, life arises from death. We can clearly see that through the image of Jack and Julia Harper’s baby girl. More humane, Oblivion conveys a third message: Good people never die.
