Witnessing her colleagues killing a drug dealer lands rookie police officer Alicia West into trouble. Falsely accused of the crime, she now has to fight both the corrupt police and evil gangsters.

In my view this action thriller was one of the surprise packages of 2019. With a sharp twist filled plot, the tension is there from the start and never lets up as the suspense builds throughout and when the action hits, it hits hard. This movie is made all the better with great performances from a talented cast including Frank Grillo, Tyrese Gibson, Mike Colter, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp, Nafessa Williams and in particular a brilliant performance from Naomie Harris in a very different role than she’s accustomed to.

This one received lukewarm reviews from and was a modest box office success, but it has become something of a fan favourite since its release and it’s starting gain a cult following. This is my 3rd or 4th viewing now and it’s starting to become a go-to movie for me, so if you haven’t seen it yet and action thrillers are your thing I highly recommend checking this one out.
