Tangled (2010) is a Disney animated musical adventure film directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard. Loosely based on the classic German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm, the movie brings a fresh and comedic take on the well-known story of a young girl trapped in a tower for most of her life.

The film follows Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore), a spirited young woman with long, magical hair that has the power to heal and give eternal youth. Rapunzel, in her bid for independence, convinces Flynn to help her escape to see the floating lanterns she has long admired, which are released every year on her birthday. As they embark on a journey through forests, kingdoms, and dangerous obstacles, Rapunzel begins to discover the truth about her past and her magical heritage. Along the way, Flynn also undergoes personal growth, moving from a self-interested rogue to someone who cares deeply for Rapunzel.
