Vlad the Impaler (2018), originally titled Deliler, is a Turkish historical action film directed by Osman Kaya. The movie is set in the 15th century during the reign of the Ottoman Empire and tells the story of a group of elite Ottoman warriors, known as the Deliler or “The Madmen,” who are tasked with a dangerous mission: to confront Vlad the Impaler, the notorious ruler of Wallachia.
Vlad, played by Erkan Petekkaya, is depicted as a cruel and merciless leader who has earned a fearsome reputation for his brutal methods, including impaling his enemies.
