The story begins in the 19th century, where Count Dracula (Keanu Reeves) is introduced as a tormented yet powerful vampire, cursed with immortality and a thirst for blood. After centuries of isolation in his Transylvanian castle, Dracula grows weary of his existence and yearns for something more—something that will reignite his passion for life. His opportunity comes when he learns of a young woman, Elena (Jenna Ortega), who bears an uncanny resemblance to his long-lost love.

Elena is a modern-day college student studying folklore and mythology. She travels to Romania to research the legend of Dracula for her thesis, unaware that her journey will lead her directly into the vampire’s lair. As she delves deeper into the history of the infamous Count, she begins to experience strange visions and dreams, as if Dracula is calling to her from across time.
