Sleepless in Seattle (1993)
Sleepless in Seattle (1993) is a romantic comedy-drama directed by Nora Ephron, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. The film tells the story of Sam Baldwin (Hanks), a widowed architect who moves to Seattle with his young son, Jonah (Ross Malinger), after the death of his wife.
Struggling with grief, Samโs life takes an unexpected turn when Jonah calls a radio talk show on Christmas Eve to find a new wife for his father. Sam reluctantly joins the conversation, and his heartfelt words about his late wife touch the hearts of listeners across the country, including Annie Reed (Ryan), a Baltimore-based journalist.

Annie, engaged to her dependable but unexciting fiancรฉ, Walter (Bill Pullman), becomes captivated by Samโs story. Though she has never met him, she feels an inexplicable connection. Encouraged by her best friend Becky (Rosie OโDonnell), Annie writes a letter to Sam, suggesting they meet atop the Empire State Building on Valentineโs Dayโa nod to the classic film An Affair to Remember.

Meanwhile, Jonah, convinced Annie is the perfect match for his father, schemes to bring them together. The film follows their separate journeys, filled with moments of humor, longing, and serendipity, as fate conspires to unite them.
