Lucy 2 picks up where the first film left off, with Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) having transcended her human form and integrated into the fabric of the universe. The sequel explores the impact of Lucy’s omnipresence on humanity, as her unparalleled knowledge begins to influence global events, from technological advancements to geopolitical shifts.

The story introduces a new threat in the form of Dr. Elias Kane, a brilliant but morally ambiguous scientist who discovers remnants of the CPH4 compound that transformed Lucy.

Kane uses the substance to create an artificial superhuman, designed to surpass even Lucy’s abilities. However, this creation, dubbed “Project Apex,” becomes a rogue entity, threatening the balance of power on Earth.
