Socially anxious hitman Melvin Smiley, an expert in his lucrative field, goes on a job and falls in love with his kidnapping victim, turning his world upside down.

Here’s a late 90s gem that you never seem to hear anything about and perhaps it’s been forgotten. With a great blend of action/thriller and black comedy this is a fast-paced and, as long as you don’t take it too seriously, very fun movie. It’s got a great ensemble cast including Mark Wahlberg, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christina Applegate, Bokeem Woodbine, Avery Brooks, Antonio Sabàto Jr., China Chow, Lainie Kazan, Lela Rochon and a hilarious drunken Elliott Gould, add to this a cracking soundtrack and this is another 90s movie that deserves more love.
